Pasadena, hear me out. Do not pass up on this dining experience! I have been following this restaurant since day one and could not wait to go. I made a reservation for my besties and I! The owner responded in a timely manner and confirmed my reservation! From the moment we walked in until the time we left, everything was wonderful. The staff was very professional and attentive! I loved the staff outfits and decor, especially the flowers above the bar and the plate wall! Let's get to the best part, food and drinks! We ordered the jerk cauliflower, fried green tomatoes, deviled eggs, boudin balls and stuffed jalapeños! For dinner, we ordered the Pumpkin Ravoli, Famous Chicken Pot Pie, Pork Po Boy, Catfish and Shrimp Etouffee! Everyone was satisfied! The cocktails are made perfect balanced and the garnish topped it off! We took a bread pudding to go and it hit the spot. We definitely will be back!
Betty Lou's is a new neighborhood staple! The food is excellent and the atmosphere is cozy. I've been here on dates, with family and with girl friends and it is truly amazing for every occasion. I've never had a bad meal or experience here. The seasonal menu options are awesome and their alcohol selection is just as high quality as the food.
Easy access in Lakeshore Plaza, right off of 100. Ample and convenient parking right outside. Our party of 4 was promptly seated at a high-top table (there was also bar seating and standard table seating available). Friendly waitstaff, patient with us while we familiarized ourselves with the menu- We never felt rushed and our drinks were kept topped up through the meal. Ample selection of southern comfort food, generous portions cheerfully plated on mismatched china. We had a lovely dinner (scratch made French onion soup, dip, pot pie, short rib, shrimp and grits, and careoy cake-forgot to take a picture). We'll be back! Check it out!
The shrimp & grits are amazing. The restaurant is decorated simply but maintains a very comfortable atmosphere. Our waitress (owner) was very attentive to our needs. The cornbread & collard greens were out of this world. Very nice portion sizes. The restaurant was very clean. Pricing was adequate and I don't believe anything was overpriced. We will definitely be returning!!
Betty Lou’s McClintock Cocktail Dinner was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, the warm and intimate atmosphere set the stage for an evening of exceptional dining and perfectly curated cocktails. Each course was a masterpiece, thoughtfully crafted with fresh, vibrant ingredients. The seared scallop with blood orange bacon jam was a bold and delicious opener, followed by the rich and flaky salmon Wellington that melted in my mouth. The lamb sausage dish was beautifully complemented by the pistachio pesto tagliatelle, and the seared duck breast with maitake mushrooms was absolutely divine. To end on a high note, the pavlova paired with the Forager Gin gimlet was a refreshing and elegant finale. The cocktails were just as impressive as the food, each expertly mixed to enhance the flavors of the dishes. The Blood Orange Eclipse and Bourbon on Broadway were standout favorites, perfectly balanced and packed with depth. Service was flawless—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the menu. Every detail, from the presentation to the perfectly paired drinks, showed the care and creativity behind this event. The added touch of supporting tree planting made the night even more special. If you have the chance to attend one of these dinners, don’t hesitate—this was a five-star experience through and through! #McClintockDistilling #GimletsForGreenMaryland
In the heart of Pasadena, Maryland, lies a local gem that embodies the authentic flavors of the Bayou. Every bite of our meal was exquisite, with each dish expertly cooked and seasoned. The coffee was particularly impressive, boasting a rich, New Orleans-style flavor. The atmosphere is characterized by an eclectic, repurposed charm that evokes a sense of warmth and coziness. Meredith, the owner and chef, took the time to introduce herself and share her story, while the staff provided attentive and friendly service. Due to the intimate size of the space, reservations are highly recommended.
Homestyle southern eats. Food was good - we had a shrimp po boy, kale salad, and fried chicken cob. The batter on the fried dishes was awesome. The only complaints are service was a little sluggish and the Lius room. Otherwise a great dinner
Fantastic food (the bourdon balls are definitely going to be a must order for every visit) and drinks as well as friendly staff. The food was so good, I forgot to get any pictures of it. I just shoved it straight into my face.
